It is considered a sacred duty and a great kindness to be a part of the Chevra Kadisha, and it is an honor to be included in this group of dedicated volunteers.
Torah doesn’t permit us to have whatever we want just because we want it.
I was sure that my future would not hold the religious beliefs I had grown up with. To me, the rules and guidelines I was forced to keep in school were all that was keeping me religious.
Sharing a hospital room provides a glimpse into the life of fellow sufferers, which helps to put the trials and tribulations of life into perspective.
